1. Overview
Get-Rucked is developed and operated by Evergreen Odyssey. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Get-Rucked mobile application and web dashboard at get-rucked.com. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
- Profile information: Username, display name, and optional profile details you provide
- Fitness data: Session records including distance, duration, calories burned, weight, terrain, weather, and personal ratings
- GPS route data: Location coordinates recorded during active tracking sessions
- Heart rate data: Heart rate readings from connected Bluetooth devices, if used
- Goals and groups: Fitness goals you set and any groups you join or create
- Chat messages: Text messages you send in group chats, stored and associated with your user ID
- Content reports: Records of messages you report for violating community guidelines
- Block records: A list of users you have blocked, used to filter their content from your view
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Get-Rucked app and web dashboard
- To display your personal fitness history, stats, and progress
- To calculate rankings and leaderboards within the app
- To sync your data across devices
- To send workout-related notifications during active sessions
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
3b. Group Chat and User-Generated Content
When you participate in group chats, your messages are stored on our servers and are visible to all members of that group. Messages are associated with your username and user ID.
Messages are retained for as long as the group exists or until deleted by you, another group member, or an Evergreen Odyssey administrator. You may report messages that violate our community guidelines using the report feature in the app. Reported messages are reviewed by Evergreen Odyssey administrators who may remove them at their discretion.
Evergreen Odyssey administrators may access group chat messages for the purpose of reviewing reported content and enforcing our Terms of Use. We do not routinely monitor private group chats but reserve the right to do so when investigating violations.
You may block other users to prevent their messages from appearing in your view. Block records are stored privately and are not visible to the blocked user.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are never stored in plain text. GPS and health data are stored only in your personal account and are not accessible to other users unless you explicitly share them through groups or leaderboard features.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Supabase as our data storage provider, under their own privacy and security standards
- If required by law or to comply with a legal process
- To protect the rights and safety of Evergreen Odyssey or our users
6. Location Data
GPS location data is only collected during active tracking sessions when you explicitly start a session. Location tracking stops when you pause or end your session. We do not track your location in the background outside of active sessions. Route data is stored in your account and is not shared publicly.
7. Bluetooth and Health Data
If you connect a Bluetooth heart rate monitor, heart rate data is recorded only during active sessions and stored in your account. This data is used solely to display your personal fitness metrics and is not shared with third parties.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below or using the Delete Account feature in the app. Upon request, we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days.
Group chat messages you have sent are retained until the group is deleted or until removed by an administrator for a Terms violation. You may request deletion of your messages by contacting us. Block records are deleted when your account is deleted.
9. Children's Privacy
Get-Rucked is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Get-Rucked after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
